CRFA Update
Looking to go green and save some green? The B.C. government is offering $4.5 million in grants to help restaurant owners become more energy-efficient.
Agriculture Minister Ben Stewart and Energy Minister Steve Thomson joined CRFA at the BC Foodservice Expo to announce the new $15-million, three-year “LiveSmart BC: Small Business Energy Efficiency Program” – of which $4.5 million is allocated to the restaurant industry.
The funding covers the following costs:
- energy assessments by auditors
- replacement and installation of energy-efficient equipment
- cash rebates for energy-efficient products
