Hot Black Tea

  • Start with fresh-drawn cold water and bring to a rolling boil.

  • Warm the teapot to help keep the tea hot longer.

  • Use one teabag or one tsp of loose leaf tea, for each two cups of tea desired. (Be sure to choose a quality blend such as a Four Star tea certified by the Tea Association of Canada.)

  • When the water has boiled take the warmed teapot to the kettle.

  • Pour the boiling water OVER the teabags.

  • Cover and let steep for three to five minutes.

  • Remove the teabags. Enjoy!

Remember, only boiling water will bring out the maximum flavour from the tea leaf.
