Hot Black Tea
- Start with fresh-drawn cold water and bring to a rolling boil.
- Warm the teapot to help keep the tea hot longer.
- Use one teabag or one tsp of loose leaf tea, for each two cups of tea desired. (Be sure to choose a quality blend such as a Four Star tea certified by the Tea Association of Canada.)
- When the water has boiled take the warmed teapot to the kettle.
- Pour the boiling water OVER the teabags.
- Cover and let steep for three to five minutes.
- Remove the teabags. Enjoy!
Remember, only boiling water will bring out the maximum flavour from the tea leaf.
