Today's restaurant marketing tip: Sell your menuRestaurant owners and operators want to present their product in the best way possible, so that customers feel that the establishment cares about the whole package. All restaurateurs know good care needs to be taken with the interior of the restaurant – clean tables and table cloths, glassware/cutlery, windows, décor all make a difference.

Menus are just as important. They are the first thing customers will hold in their hands, and take temporary ownership of, as they make choices for their meal - a very personal and organic experience. If the menu cover is tattered, splattered and worn, it signals a lack of interest in that critical piece of the experience. The customer is expecting to shell out their hard earned money for your food, and it must be presented in an appealing way, starting with the menu and ending with the presentation on the plate.

A well presented menu can even increase profits - a vital outcome if a restaurant is to succeed!
