New limitations on hiring foreign workers
August 2, 2011

The federal government has introduced new restrictions on who employers can use to help them apply for temporary foreign workers (TFWs). Only lawyers, paralegals or immigration consultants in good standing with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) are considered “Authorized Immigration Representatives,” and can help employers obtain the Labour Market Opinions (LMOs) required to hire TFWs.
Both CRFA-Approved Foreign Recruiters – Diamond Global and Mercan Recruit – are authorized immigration representatives, and are therefore legally allowed to help employers obtain LMOs. They are also ethical recruiters with significant foreign recruitment experience in the foodservice industry. CRFA members get a 5% discount on their services. Click here for more information.
